My Beauty/Hygiene Switches

Switching to cruelty-free, vegan, non-toxic, more eco-friendly products...

Hair
-For my hair brushes and combs I'm currently switching to Cebra from... well some salon brands that are plastic, not ethical, and full of chemicals that all together may be vegan friendly but are certainly not eco friendly (not trying to protect any companies... just can't remember the brands).
-For shampoo and conditioner I switched from Redkens to Live Clean, Arbonne, and Lush
-When I get my hair done the salon shampoo and conditioner they usually use is Redkens but I request AG since they have a cruelty free line in salons.

Oral Hygiene -I switched my toothpaste, mouth wash and dental-floss to Tom's of Maine from: Colgate, Crest and Johnson&Johnson; respectively.

Body
-For bath products I'm already using Lush so no switch was required... love their products!
-For my stretch mark cream I switched from Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula to Earth Mama Angel Baby (they have a line that I think would be great for infants!)
-I switched my hand and body lotion I switched from Aveeno and St. Ives to 100% Pure and Lush
-I was using Lady's Speed-stick for deodorant though now I'm currently using a deodorant from Tom's of Maine.

Nails
-For nail polish I switched from Avon and Sally Hansen to ManiPure, Zoya, Butter London, Scotch Naturals and Suncoat Girl.
-For nail polish remover I switched from Sally Hansen to Zoya.

Face
-My facial scrubs switched from St. Ives to 100% Pure and Lush
-For my complexion products (liquid foundation, concealer and powder cover-up) I was using MAC and Arbonne and now I use only Arbonne (but there are also many other brands that I'll be posting shortly)
-I'm currently searching for a new bronzer product. I was using a bronzer from Rimmel (any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!)
-For blush I switched from Rimmel and Mary Kay to Arbonne and Tarte

Eyes and Eyebrows
-I swapped my eye shadow from MAC to Gosh which I had kicking around my bathroom and while PETA says it's okay I'm not sold... currently searching for a better alternative.
-My eye liner used to be MAC and now I'm searching for a new product!  (any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!)
-I was using mascara from MAC and now I'm searching for a new product! (any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!)
-My eyebrow pencil was also from MAC (can you believe it!?) and yet again I'm searching for a new product!  (any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!)

Lips
-For my lip products I was using Rimmel and MAC lip stick and now I'm currently using Lush lip stain and a cruelty-free gloss (I'll check the brand name and get back to you on it). For lip chap I'm using: Burt's Bees [which I'm not sold on for on ethics, not to mention that it's not vegan], and a locally made all natural lip chap from the The Light Cellar.

General Cosmetic
-I was unfortunately buying the expensive cosmetic brushes from MAC but I have now switched over to EcoTools (they have great cosmetic bags as well with a line created by Alicia Silverstone).
-For my cosmetic application I'm also using cotton balls, cotton pads and cotton swabs (commonly known as q-tips). For these products I only use 100% natural, organic cotton products (I'll find the source and link it here).
-Instead of a the cosmetic subscription from glossybox I switched to the Veganista - True Beauty Box featuring products that are: green, 100% vegan and cruelty free
